What an amazing day! Our fifth graders should be so proud that they are the first students to do the research for the historical marker for the Star Spangled Banner National Historic Trail. Can you believe our event was an official stop and "stamp" in the Bicentennial Passport? Students were each assigned a station. At that station they either described for our visitors the muskets, flags, uniforms, boat or projects they created as part of our research for the Trail. Lastly we took the boat to the Boat Lake and demonstrated for everyone how to use it! I will have the video and movie we created on the website soon! We are looking forward to working with the National Park Service more and having an even bigger event next year! A big thanks to Councilman Jim Kraft and our friends from the Baltimore National Heritage Area and National Park Service for everything they have done for us and being a part of today's event!
This page is dedicated to the work and research my students do each day.
