Some students spent this years’ Service Day helping Audubon by planting native plants in the wetland garden in Patterson Park.
Students had a great time helping Audubon plant some native plants in the Wetland Garden and the Butterfly Garden on Thursday afternoon. We learned about the importance of having more plants in the park to provide a habitat for birds, insects and other small animals as well as the difference between native plant species and invasive species. Several students exclaimed, “This is hard work, but it’s fun too!” The staff at Audubon were very happy to have such fantastic workers to help them with the task!
This page is dedicated to the work and research my students do each day.
