This was just the first of many exciting, hands-on field trips we will be taking over the next three years. We are always looking for ways to integrate our subjects in the classroom in the great outdoors!
On Wednesday our 6th grade students learned how to canoe at Cox Point State Park. Students also learned about the John Smith National Historic Trail and the effect of everyday pollution on the Chesapeake Bay. This Science and History related field trip including many activities where the students utilized their reading and math skills, as well!
