We added yet another tour to the Maryland Historical Society on Friday. Our students were broken up into two groups. One group toured the Civil War in Maryland exhibit. They worked together to explore the exhibit and find out key issues of the day that divided our state and the city of Baltimore. The other group was allowed upstairs in the Archives. There they worked with the actual primary source documents revolving around the Pratt St. Riots. Some of the documents were articles from the Sun, others were drawings and some were diary recordings. A fascinating day to say the least! A big thanks to the Maryland Historical Society for providing such an in depth research opportunity for our students!
This page is dedicated to the work and research my students do each day.
